Terrier No.3 “Bodiam” is now scheduled to be working the 11.45am and 2.20pm departures from Tenterden Town every day until Thursday 21st after which the little engine will be stopped for a washout, boiler inspection, visual examination and then a steam test.

The engine is most unlikely to appear at the Hoppers’ Event at Bodiam Station, 13th and 14th September; the place on the Vintage train is likely to be taken by P-class 753 which is also needed on an RXD the previous day.

“Bodiam” is then next scheduled to be working midweek ARXD and RXD at the very end of September in the days leading up to its next public workings at the Tenterden Folk Festival, 4th and 5th of October.

It is also planned to be in service between Christmas and New Year; further details will be published nearer the time
