Welcome donations to TTT

TTT has benefited from a couple of extremely generous donations just recently

At the Ashford Group meeting of the K&ESR, held on 18 July, Hugh Nightingale received on behalf of TTT, a set of the three books published on LB&SCR Locomotives by the RCTS over thirty years ago and written by the late D L Bradley.  These books are regarded as near source material and are frequently quoted but have been long Out of Print.  Their acquisition will greatly help in establishing a time line for all the Terriers, where possible, and perhaps help in correcting any publishing errors.  They should also assist with enquiries that pop up from time to time and further the educational aims of the charity.

Charity No. 1050480

TTT is also the recipient of a most generous donation by Mr Bernard Harris of a collection of b/w photographs and both b/w and coloured postcards that seem to date from the Edwardian period.  The vast majority of these pictures do not appear to have been published before though some are copies of well-known scenes.  The long task of identifying the engines, most of which are LB&SCR, is now underway and it appears the scenes will need to be scanned and most restored before they can be published to the benefit of TTT.  Some Terriers are included, notably one of “Knowle” with number 78
